MINT™ is Baldor’s motion control language. It is easy to use and quick to execute, delivering powerful perform-
ance from your motion system in the shortest possible time. MINT integrates the key functions of motion
control, I/O handling serial communications, CANbus networking and operator interface into a single program-
ming language. With just one MINT programming language for all Baldor motion control products, you have the
widest choice of motion solutions for the minimum of programming investment.
MINT Command Types Example
Positional Moves Trapezoidal, S Curve, relative and absolute.
Multi-axis Moves Linear and circular interpolated moves. Contoured, blended and spline move
sequences.
Master/Slave Software gearbox, CAMs and following.
Complex Moves Flying shear, position offset.
I/O Handling Interrupt driven inputs, error reporting outputs.
Communications RS232/RS485 ASCII serial communications, ANSI 3.28 secure protocol transfer
CANbus Networking Useful for adding an operator panel or additional I/O
Operator Interface VT100 compatible command set is used over serial port or with Baldor's
operator panel
